Grainger slashes load time of home page in half

This post on www.internetretailer.com says W.W. Grainger Inc., Lake Forest, Ill., slashed the load time of its home page from 9.8 seconds for the week ending August 26 to 4.94 seconds for the week ending September 2, according to data from the Keynote Mobile Commerce Performance Index. The Internet Retailer post said Grainger made the change by cutting how many page objects such as images or boxes of text appeared on the home page. The Keynote Mobile Performance Index offers some interesting stats on which retailers' websites load the fastest.
