Eye Lighting Names Greg Barry New President & COO

Eye Lighting International (Mentor, OH): Greg Barry has been appointed president and chief operating officer following the retirement of Tom Salpietra. The appointment is effective immediately.

Barry joined Eye Lighting two years ago as VP of sales & marketing. He previously was president and CEO for Topanga Technologies, a lighting technology company on the West Coast. In addition, he has held positions including vice president and general manager for sales, marketing and product management at several other companies including Acuity Brands, Hubbell Lighting, and 14 years at GE Lighting.

“Tom Salpietra has been a great friend and colleague, and provided superior leadership during his eight years at Eye Lighting… and many more in the manufacturing industry. We wish him the best as he enters this new stage in his life,” Barry said.

Barry earned his MBA from Central Michigan University and Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of South Florida. He also has advanced skills training in strategic planning, financial management, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001.
