People On the Move - August 21 Update

Check out the personnel changes at IMARK, Graybar, Lonestar Electric Supply, OmniCable and other companies.

IMARK Electrical (Bowie, MD): Steven Wright will be joining IMARK as VP of supplier relations and development, effective Sept 1. He will report to Jerry Knight, who is transitioning to president of IMARK Electrical on Nov. 1.

Wright comes to IMARK with a varied background in the distribution industry, including posts with Vallen/Sonepar, WESCO, Ace & True Value Hardware. Additionally, Wright has a broad range of experience in operations, sales and marketing, merchandising and supplier relations for wide range of products, including electrical, tool & safety and industrial products. He was director of global supplier relations – Electrical and MRO/Tools/Safety at WESCO.

Graybar Electric Supply Co. (St. Louis): Tom Twitty was named as district VP-Business for the company’s Phoenix and California Districts, effective Aug. 24. He replaces Rich Birkett, who recently retired from Graybar after 40 years with the company. Twitty most recently served as senior VP of supply chain and operational excellence for H.D. Smith, an AmerisourceBergen company.

He will focus on enhancing business performance and expanding Graybar’s service capabilities in a multi-state territory that includes California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and parts of Texas and Wyoming. He will work closely with District VP-Sales, Jeff Wanner, to drive growth.

Lonestar Electric Supply (Houston): Scott Shaver, president of the company’s San Antonio location, announced his retirement. According to a post on Lonestar’s LinkedIn page, Shaver worked from 2015 to 2018 at Crawford Electric Supply as a manager and began his 38-year career in the electrical industry with Bell & McCoy, a large independent manufacturers’ rep in Texas. Shaver spearheaded the opening of Lonestar’s San Antonio 56,000-sq-ft location in Dec. 2018.

Milbank Manufacturing (Kansas City, MO): David Johnson has been hired as a sales representative for the Central region. He has a degree in criminal justice leadership and management and was most recently a police officer in College Station, TX. In his new role, Johnson will work within Milbank’s Central region and with the current field sales team to expand sales and profitability.

OmniCable (Westchester, PA): Priya Serai was recently hired as chief information officer (CIO), where she will oversee the company’s IT department and provide vision, leadership, strategic execution and oversight for information technology throughout all functions of the business and across all locations.

She brings more than 15 years of IT and business experience. Prior to joining OmniCable, Serai served as director of technology for SEI Investments in Pennsylvania, where she led the technology department to deliver client-focused solutions. Serai just completed her MBA at the Wharton School.

Hammond Power Solutions (HPS) (Guelph, ON, Canada): HPS, the largest manufacturer of dry-type transformers in North America, recently announced the addition of Matt Kovara to the newly created position of power quality sales manager. He comes to the company from Power Quality Components, where he served as national sales manager.

Electri-Flex Company (Roselle, IL): Lisette Fiol was promoted to the position of regional sales manager. She will be responsible for managing multiple manufacturer rep agents and distribution partnerships throughout her territories. Fiol began with the company in 2014 in customer service, quickly moving to the position of customer service lead for international sales. Recently, she joined the sales and marketing departments as a sales and marketing associate, which included social media and other responsibilities.

WAGO (Germantown, WI): Clayton Windsor was promoted to product manager – DIN rail mount terminal blocks. He had been product specialist for Marking and Tools at WAGO for the past two and a half years.

Virtual Power Systems (Milpitas, CA): Dave Johnson has joined the company’s board of directors. He is the former chief executive officer of UPS manufacturer APC by Schneider Electric, a $4 billion global business.
