December 2020's Electrical Price Index Sees Healthy Increase

Four product categories showed price increases of more than +1% for the month.

EM’s Electrical Price Index (EPI) had a +0.8% increase in December to a 158.8 reading and a +4.2% increase year-over-year (YOY) over Dec. 2019. Four product categories were up more than +1% over Nov. 2020 — Telephone (+3.4%); Building Wire & Cable (+3.1%); Nonmetallic Conduit (+1.6%); and Conduit Fittings (+1.4%). On a YOY basis, Conduit Fittings (+12.1%); Boxes (+10.5%); and Pole Line Hardware (+10%) were up most.
